Caralyn Cooley to become new CPO at FanDuel

Cooley will be responsible for the continued acceleration of FanDuel’s people strategy, reflecting the operator’s growth trajectory.
FanDuel has announced the appointment of Caralyn Cooley as the operator’s new Chief People Officer where she will report to FanDuel CEO Amy Howe.
Cooley will join FanDuel’s executive leadership team and will be responsible for the continued acceleration of FanDuel’s people strategy, reflecting the company’s growth trajectory.
“I am very excited to welcome Caralyn to FanDuel. Throughout her distinguished career Caralyn has held global roles building highly effective people teams that drive performance and reflect the needs of today’s diverse corporate culture,” Howe said.
“Her energy and passion for sports and the gaming sector made her an ideal fit, and her arrival strengthens our executive leadership team.”
Cooley most recently served as EVP and CPO for Bowery Farming, a US vertical farming company that designs and builds smart indoor environments.
During her tenure, Cooley built a talent model to scale globally, designed a total compensation strategy for all levels of the company, created a holistic diversity, equity and inclusion program and led Bowery’s business continuity response during the Covid-19 pandemic.
For FanDuel, she will assume leadership of the operator’s people organization inclusive of human resources, talent acquisition, DE&I, organizational effectiveness as well as handling employee branding, training, learning and development, compensation and benefits in service to FanDuel’s casino, sports and operations business units.
On September 13, FanDuel held its Play Well Day as part of Responsible Gaming Education Month in September. This was the third year the company has set aside a day to affirm its commitment to responsible gaming and to supporting its players.
As part of the celebration, the operator held events across its offices in collaboration with Epic Global Solutions. FanDuel hosted live experience sessions to raise awareness “and humanize the issue of problem gambling.”
