Most popular Circa Survivor choice loses again

With the Baltimore Ravens loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, nearly half of the total entries have been eliminated after two weeks.
To kick off the NFL season, Circa Sports has offered the Circa Survivor professional football contest in each of the past two years, with the winner of the 2024 edition set to take home a split of the $14.226m prize pool.
After just two weeks of the NFL regular season has been played, however, only 4,662 entries remain after the Baltimore Ravens were defeated by the Las Vegas Raiders on September 15.
In week one, the most popular choice amongst Cica Survivor entries was the Cincinnati Bengals to beat the New England Patriots, only for the Bengals to lose its 2024 opener at home.
For the second week of the regular season, the majority of entrants chose the Ravens to claim victory at home over the then 0-1 Raiders, which were handled easily by the Los Angeles Chargers the week prior.
“In Week 2, nearly half of the remaining entries in Circa Survivor lost. Baltimore was the most-picked team, eliminating 26.5% of the field making this the second-straight week that the most-picked team lost,” Circa stated in its press release.
There were additional losses that sent a large portion of the field home as well. Detroit lost at home to Tampa, eliminating 859 entries or 9.9% of the remaining field.
259 people picked Jacksonville against Cleveland, 255 entries had Dallas against New Orleans and another 187 picked Indianapolis over Green Bay.
The three combined accounted for 8.1% of the field being taken out after week two.
In total, 46.4% of the field has been eliminated after just two weeks, with the entries left standing holding an implied value of $3,060, more than tripling the $1,000 entry fee each contestant paid.
With 785 entries still being dependent on the Monday Night Football game set to be played between the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles on September 16, the field could grow even smaller in a short time.
