ESPN adds Pamela Maldonado for college football betting coverage
Maldonaldo will also provide insights and betting analysis around the NFL, golf and tennis.
ESPN has announced the signing of sports betting analyst Pamela Maldonado to be part of the network’s sports betting coverage ahead of the college football season. With the season beginning on August 24, ESPN will look to Maldonado for her experience in leveraging advanced analytics to provide commentary for fans looking to place bets.
“I am excited to bring my love of college football and other sports to ESPN. I am even more excited to educate and provide analysis by way of sports betting. As they say, chance favors the prepared mind,” Maldonado said.
She will also provide insights and betting analysis around the NFL, golf and tennis, primarily for ESPN’s betting editorial coverage.
“Pamela has established herself as a respected voice in the sports betting space, and will provide great insight and depth to our overall sports betting coverage,” ESPN VP of Fantasy & Betting Content Scott Clark said.
“Pamela has extensive betting experience across many sports, including football, and the timing is perfect as we gear up for the college football and NFL season.”
On August 5, ESPN also announced that it had reached a multi-year contract renewal with sports betting reporter David Purdum.
Purdum will continue his role reporting on all aspects of the sports betting industry from business and odds to industry features and more per ESPN.
He also works closely with the ESPN investigative team on all high-profile betting stories including the Alabama baseball and former NBA player Jontay Porter betting scandals, Detroit Lions player suspensions, Iowa and Iowa State wagering investigations and many more.
