Joseph Hasson appointed as COO of Mohegan
Hasson has served as Mohegan’s Interim COO since April of 2024.
Mohegan has announced the appointment of Joseph Hasson as COO, a role in which he will oversee the development and execution of short and long-term strategic business plans across all Mohegan properties.
“Joe Hasson’s expertise, garnered over more than 40 years in the gaming and hospitality industries, coupled with his exemplary leadership at our Las Vegas property, positions him uniquely to ensure strategic alignment and continuity across Mohegan’s diverse portfolio,” Mohegan President and CEO Ray Pineault said.
“We are confident that his leadership as our COO will be instrumental in our sustained success.”
Hasson had been serving as Mohegan’s Interim COO since April of 2024 before the title was made permanent with the announcement.
As Mohegan’s COO, Hasson will handle day-to-day operations of Mohegan’s resorts across the US, Canada and Northern Asia. He will also maintain his responsibilities as GM of Mohegan Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas while the casino transitions ownership.
Hasson will also work with Mohegan’s leadership team to align all strategic processes with company-wide goals, with an emphasis on building sustainable growth towards Mohegan’s portfolio of entertainment resorts.
Prior to joining Mohegan, Hasson served as COO of Station Casinos and Red Rock Resorts.
In other personnel news for the company, Mohegan appointed Nelson Parker to serve as its new CSO in June of this year. His duties as CSO include working closely with the company’s executive team while identifying, assessing and executing growth opportunities and strategic new ventures for Mohegan.
He also aids the Tribal operator in its capital planning and strategy for continued future company growth.
