Jamul Casino tops off new hotel tower in major construction milestone
The casino’s executive team and Jamul Indian Village tribal members signed the final steel beam that was put into place.
The Jamul Indian Village Development Corporation (JIVDC), owned and operated by the Jamul Indian Village Tribe, has announced a milestone in the construction of Jamul Casino’s new hotel tower. The Tribe celebrated with a topping off ceremony that saw the placement of the structure’s final steel beam on July 12.
During the ceremony, the Jamul Casino executive team and Jamul Indian Village tribal members signed the final steel beam, with Jamul Indian Village Tribal Elder Kenny Meza performing a traditional blessing of the building. With the Jamul Indian Village flag being placed upon it, the beam was then raised to the top of the tower, representing the completion of a major construction phase.
“After years of conceptualizing and planning, we are proud to mark this significant milestone in Jamul Casino’s history,” Chairwoman of the JIVDC Board and the Jamul Indian Village Erica Pinto said.
“We are appreciative of our partners at CW Driver Companies as they help bring this vision to life, and we cannot wait to open the hotel doors and invite guests to experience it for themselves next year.”
Multiple people spoke on the day to thank the crowd for their support and to speak on the hotel’s progress, its importance to Jamul Indian Village and what it will offer Jamul Casino’s visitors. The day then concluded with a luncheon to thank the construction workers building the property.
The new hotel feature is set to be open in the Spring of 2025, with over 200 rooms offered and multiple experiences for guests staying at the property. The casino currently includes nearly 1,700 slot machines, 46 live table games and a dedicated poker room.
