‘A lot to play for going forward' in US market, says FairPlay CEO at a press briefing at which Gaming America was in attendance.

After a wave of acquisitions, specifically in Europe, FairPlay Sports Media is turning its attention to the US market.

Who?

In a strategic rebranding, Oddschecker Global Media has announced a name change to FairPlay Sports Media in a push for 'fairer betting.' The name change also reflects a new focus on ‘BetTech’ in an effort to empower consumers by providing them with efficient and accurate data.

Fairplay hopes to bring ‘BetTech’ into the recognizable realm of tech buzzwords, with the phrase defining a leveraging of data, AI and other information as a means to enhance the world of online betting.

At a press briefing at which Gaming America was in attendance, FairPlay Sports Media’s Group CEO Stuart Simms shared that the new focus on data is a move to ‘level the playing field’ and help consumers make more informed decisions.

The heightened focus on sports in this rebranding also speaks to FairPlay’s shift towards the US market. While this refocusing is in the early stages, Simms referenced a more advanced level of technology in the US as a unique opportunity for growth in light of FairPlay’s repositioning.

Simms also revealed the markets FairPlay has its sights on in the coming months and years. Seeing soccer as a focal guiding point for growth, FairPlay has plans to expand in Spain, LatAm and South America as well as the US.

Simms commented: “This is more than a new group name. The launch of FairPlay Sports Media allows us to empower our customers to better compete in sports betting, while delivering significant efficiencies and added value to our partners through the use of our game-changing betting technology.”
