Patrons can catch early afternoon matinees during race week.

The Vegas Strip show “O” has decided to reschedule some of its evening shows due to this week’s Formula 1 Grand Prix race, according to a Las Vegas Review-Journal local report.

“O” brings in steady audiences to the Bellagio and is known as Cirque du Soleil’s flagship and top-selling show, according to the local report. However, the show will “steer clear” during the race.

The show cancelled performances for Thursday night and will put on matinees early Friday afternoon. Fans can catch the show on Friday at noon and at 2:30PM.

Another single matinee is scheduled for 2:30PM on Saturday.

Other notable Cirque performers also decided to adjust their show schedules for race week, including “Ka” at the MGM Grand.

Cirque President, Resident Shows Division and Affiliate Shows Division Eric Grilly shared with local news in an email statement, “As this is a nighttime race, our F1-adjusted show schedule ultimately allows our guests to enjoy this historical weekend without having to compromise their desire for world-class entertainment.

“As an entertainment partner with F1, we look forward to the opportunities we have to showcase our shows to the F1 audience along the track throughout the weekend’s activities.”

The Formula 1 Grand Prix race will run from November 16 to November 18. The event will kick off with an opening ceremony on November 15. All 20 F1 drivers are scheduled to attend the opening festivities, as well as various musical acts and Strip performers.

In the weeks leading up to the race, prices for hotel stays have continued to decline, which is good news for F1 fans. Prices for accommodations on the Strip have fallen as much as 62% on average when compared to rates from nearly one year ago, according to the local report.
