Donations will go to Hawai‘i Community Foundation's Maui Strong Fund.

The Palms Casino Resort has partnered with Old Lāhainā Lū'au to raise awareness and money for Maui relief efforts, according to a local report. The duo said it plans to donate the funds raised from its 9th Island Lū'au to those affected by the wildfires in Maui during the summer.

Palms Casino Resorts and Old Lāhainā Lū'au held its latest fundraiser over the weekend at Palms’ nightclub, KOAS.

According to local officials, funds raised from the event will go the Hawai‘i Community Foundation's Maui Strong Fund.

The casino’s website outlined the specifics of the fund and defined it as “a fund by a 501c3 organization providing financial resources to support the immediate and long-term recovery needs of the people and places impacted.”

Though Old Lāhainā Lū'au is temporarily closed because of its proximity to where the wildfires occurred, officials noted that there was no significant damage to the structure.

In other Palms Casino Resort news, the destination recently partnered with AGS to release its Bonus Spin Xtreme to nearly 40 tables games. It is now available on 24 blackjack tables, 12 baccarat tables and 3 roulette tables.

Bonus Spin Xtreme is a proprietary technology that can link all of a casino’s table games, regardless of whether they have disparate math models. The technology includes with it a feature that provides larger progressive jackpots and faster incrementing. It can also offer a single jackpot on community-style table games.

The Palms is currently owned by The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.
