Ziems will replace recent company retiree, Victor Gallo.

PlayAGS has named Robert Ziems as its new Chief Legal Officer, succeeding Victor Gallo, who has retired from the company. Ziems steps into this role effective immediately, and will serve as a functional leader in the company’s Latin American and Interactive business arenas.

Ziems has worked in the gaming industry for more than two decades and brings extensive legal experience to his new position.

Ziems holds a law degree from Drake University School of Law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of South Florida, as well as his Master’s in Business Administration from Indiana University.

Prior to joining AGS, Ziems worked for 12 years at Aruze Gaming America and held positions there as President of Aruze, Global Chief Legal Officer of Aruze Gaming Group, and Corporate Secretary.

Group President and CEO David Lopez said of Ziems’ appointment: "Rob is a great addition to our leadership team as we diversify AGS' portfolio and advance our business strategy.

“He has deep gaming and regulatory experience combined with a forward-thinking and collaborative leadership approach.”

Lopez also took a moment to discuss Gallo’s contributions to the company, along with his retirement and wished him well.

Lopez concluded by saying: "Looking back, it is difficult to overstate the extraordinary impact Vic has had on AGS over the past 12 years.

“He was instrumental in the acquisition and integration of Cadillac Jack, as well as the Company's IPO in 2018, and he has helped shape the strategy, structure, and culture that have made AGS successful as a Company today. On behalf of the entire leadership team, we wish him a well-deserved retirement."
