Hard Rock International has named Anibal Fernandez as Senior Vice President of its Cafe Division. Fernandez will report directly to Jim Allen, who is the Chairman and CEO of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming.
As part of his duties, Fernandez will lead the Cafe Team by providing “strategic direction” across the company’s locations.
Fernandez first served as Hard Rock International’s Operations Manager in 1998 when he joined the company and was later promoted to General Manager. He left the organization for a short time, but returned to the company in 2003 as Hard Rock’s Cafe General Manager.
Prior to his current position, Fernandez functioned as the group’s Vice President of Franchise Operations and Business Development.
Allen said about Fernandez and his new opportunity: "Anibal is an essential part of our Hard Rock team with a proven track record for helping Hard Rock Cafes around the world exceed guest expectations.
"With over 20 years' experience at Hard Rock alone, we have the utmost confidence Anibal will continue to support team members and enhance the Cafe Division in new and exciting ways."
Fernandez commented regarding his new role: "It's with great joy and admiration for my team that I take this next step in my journey with Hard Rock as Cafe Division lead.
"I've had the privilege of working and growing within the Hard Rock organization and I'm excited to spearhead a continued era of excellence for Hard Rock Cafes around the globe."
The first Hard Rock Café opened its doors in London in 1971. Its brand was founded on several mottos that continue to be valuable to the company today, including Love All-Serve All, Take Time To Be Kind, Save The Planet and All Is One.
In other Hard Rock news, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has teamed up with media company Horizon Sports & Experiences (HS&E) to hold the Inaugural Pickleball Slam on April 2 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. Tennis legends Andre Agassi, Michael Chang, John McEnroe, and Andy Roddick will face off at the event for a $1m prize.
HS&E and InsideOut Sports & Entertainment have created the tournament and will broadcast the event live on ESPN prior to the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship game.
