MGM Resorts International celebrates New Year in Las Vegas

The Killers performed for over 90 minutes, with a host of other big names.

MGM Resorts International celebrated New Year's Eve in Las Vegas with an array of musical entertainment.

The evening was highlighted by the SelvaRey New Year's Rum Fiesta, hosted by Bruno Mars at Bellagio Resort & Casino, as well as a high-energy concert by The Killers at The Chelsea Theatre at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Mars rang in 2023 at The Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio with a champagne toast. There was also a 30-minute live set followed by a vinyl DJ set by DJ Pee . Wee (aka Anderson .Paak).

Over at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, The Killers performed for 90 minutes, joining concertgoers for a countdown into 2023.

Rcently, MGM Resorts announced that it has closed the sale of the operations of The Mirage Hotel & Casino to Hard Rock International for $1.075bn in cash.

Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and President of MGM Resorts International, said of the announcement: "Mirage employees have delivered unparalleled service and experiences over the past three decades, and we are forever thankful for their work to make The Mirage such an iconic, world-class destination.

"I'm excited for the opportunities that lay ahead for the property, its people and the entire Las Vegas Strip with this prime location now under Hard Rock's leadership. We're thrilled to welcome Hard Rock to the neighbourhood and wish them all the very best."

There were plenty of New Year's celebrations throughout Las Vegas and also Atlantic City, where New Jersey casinos put on shows for guests all across the Boardwalk.
