DoubleDown Interactive has released the results of its latest general meeting of shareholders. The South Korea-based company held its meeting to discuss reducing its capital reserve.
DoubleDown has taken significant steps to expand its presence throughout North America, including a partnership with IGT to develop Vegas-style slot games for its DoubleDown Casino.
The group said in a statement: “The shareholders of record as of December 5, 2022, approved the reduction of the company’s capital reserve in the amount of KRW 330 billion pursuant to Article 461-2 of the Korean Commercial Code, as originally proposed by the company’s board of directors.”
DoubleDown Interactive delivers its users a variety of gaming genres in multiple formats and publishes its games on both web-based and mobile platforms. Its DoubleDown Casino flagship title is well-known among its multimillion-player fanbase.
The company’s social casino portfolio includes a variety of modern and classic games.
DoubleDown Interactive recently held a companywide milestone celebration to commemorate the 12th anniversary of its DoubleDown Casino release. As part of the festivities, the group hosted a countdown that included prize giveaways and a chance for players to earn rewards by completing slot requests.
Players have access to more than 200 slot games from DoubleDown Casino’s catalogue. Its Vegas-style slot machines have been developed by IGT and its suite of titles includes exclusive original slots and casino games.
The company has recently engaged in altruistic efforts through charitable contributions.
DoubleDown Interactive donated $10,000 to the American Cancer Society in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Players showed their support through a play-to-enter giveaway that is accessible through DoubleDown Casino.
The company also hosted “Spin for Cures” during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an event that “offers players the chance to express their enthusiasm for helping the American Cancer Society and to learn more about the organization’s important work.”
