The company hopes to provide more personal interaction for its guests.

Foxwoods Resort Casino’s Connecticut location has teamed up with Agilysys to upgrade its food and beverage (F&B) operations. The company will implement Agilysys’ point-of-sale (POS) software to improve customer engagement.

The POS technology is part of the Agilysys Hospitality Cloud, a platform comprised of the company’s software solutions.

Foxwoods Resort Casino Director of Application Development, Peter Caster, said: "We have had seamless, positive experiences with Agilysys during this massive implementation, which is empowering us to enhance transactions between our staff and guests property-wide.

"By activating the Agilysys POS initiative as a phased, go-live process, we have been able to ensure a harmonious transition for all of our F&B and retail outlets. Our staff and leadership team have been very pleased with the expertise and professionalism of Agilysys’ specialists."

The first two phases have already been completed, which included opening three restaurant locations and installing 40 F&B outlets with 170 POS terminals. The next step in the plan involves a focus on retail operations.

Agilysys will support Foxwoods’ inventory management system via its POS implementation. The updates are designed to improve Foxwoods’ casino and convenience store operations, as well as its loyalty programs.

Agilysys Vice President of Professional Services, Jeba Kingsley, commented: "With such an intricate operation that encompasses multiple F&B and retail outlets, the Agilysys team has worked diligently to create the customized POS architecture, integration, screen design and reporting that would work best for Foxwoods’ staff members by simplifying their jobs, which, in turn, lowers their stress.

"Doing so enables them to spend more time with guests and offer more personalized and profitable experiences. We are proud of this project and are grateful to partner with such an incredible organization."

This year marks the resort’s 30-year anniversary. Foxwoods has set up a monthly donation initiative and donated $30,000 to the Native American Rights Fund (NARF). The organization provides legal aid to Indian tribes and supports other organizations and individuals throughout the country.

The casino resort said this month’s donation was “a thank you to the community that has supported Foxwoods throughout its 30 years.”
