The Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma has announced a partnership with Lucky Lady Games Incorporated that will bring metaverse-based online gaming to northeast Oklahoma. This joint venture will see both parties attempt to transfer the experience of the Tribe’s Indigo Sky Casino & Resort to the metaverse.
The Shawnee Tribe has stated its commitment to “being at the vanguard of entertainment technology,” and modernizing itself to reach a global online audience.
The Tribe’s Oklahoma Business Committee Treasurer Justin Barrett commented: “The Eastern Shawnee Tribe is excited about our partnership with Lucky Lady Games. We strive to be leaders in the gaming industry, and this allows us to engage with our customers in a new and exciting way.
“We have enjoyed working with Lucky Lady Games to develop this platform. We are continuing to look at ways to diversify our business portfolio.”
Lucky Lady Games is a casino game developer that specializes in Web3-enabled games. It was equally excited at the prospect of this venture with the Tribe and the potential to create a new experience for its users.
Lucky Lady Games Founder and CEO Sandra Wong commented: “The team at Lucky Lady Games is very excited to be collaborating with such a future-thinking Tribe to build something never seen before in Web3 gaming.
“IndigoSky Online will feature both off & on-chain casino gaming with integrations that tie back to the land-based property. It is a very exciting time for innovation in the casino gaming space.”
The project is slated to be launched in the latter half of 2023. Indigo Sky Casino & Resort’s General Manager Melanie Heskett commented: “Our eyes are always on the horizon. The future of gaming is bright, and we’re excited to see how far we can push the boundaries of the industry with this partnership.”
