Pettit is a 20-plus-year casino veteran who has worked at Hard Rock and Caesars.

Rush Street Gaming has announced the hiring of Dawn Reynolds Pettit as SVP of Human Resources. Reynolds Pettit is moving from a similar role at Hard Rock International, where she worked as Regional VP of Human Resources.

In her prior role, Reynolds Pettit oversaw multiple brick-and-mortar establishments in states including Virginia, Illinois and Indiana. Before working at Hard Rock International, she served as VP of Human Resources with Caesars Entertainment for 19 years at Horseshoe Hammond.

Rush Street CEO Tim Drehkoff commented: “Dawn is a proven leader in the gaming industry with a strong track record for developing and managing talent strategies, mentoring, and advocacy.

“As we prepare to open our fifth Rivers Casino in January 2023, located in Virginia’s Hampton Roads region, we’re excited to have Dawn join our growing team.”

Reynolds Pettit will be relocated to Rush Street’s Chicago headquarters, where she will lead efforts to standardize and scale best practices in workforce development at the company's full-service casinos – across four states.

Speaking on this appointment, Reynolds Pettit remarked: “I’ve long admired Rush Street Gaming and its momentum in the casino industry.

“I look forward to collaborating with the amazing talent on the Rush Street teams and especially working with the HR leaders to take the people side of the business to a whole new level. Together we will further cement Rivers Casino as the employer of choice in all our markets.”

Among many professional achievements over the past couple of decades, Reynolds Pettit is a certified ‘Lean In’ moderator and a Senn Delaney Culture Instructor. The Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association named her as one of the 'Most Influential Women in Service/Tourism.'
