Military Times magazine placed the operator in the top 25 employers in the US.

MGM Resorts has been recognized as one of the country’s top 25 leading employers for veterans by the Military Times. The criteria by which the military magazine judges different employers include their culture, recruitment and policies specific to veterans.

This year, 230 organizations submitted themselves to the magazine’s ‘Best for Vets: Employers’ survey. Rankings are based on the policies and practices that make companies hospitable for employees (both current and job-seeking) who are part of the US military community.

MGM Chief People, Inclusion and Sustainability Officer Jyoti Chopra commented: “MGM Resorts' long-standing commitment to our nation's service members, veterans and families reflects our company's culture and core value to champion inclusion.

"We remain intensely focused on providing resources and career opportunities for those who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedom and fundamental human rights."

MGM attempts to support the military community year-round through several means, including professional development programs. The company has instituted its Employee Network Groups program which tries to connect veterans with meaningful jobs that have less of an emphasis on academic prowess.

The company is also a member of the Veteran Jobs Mission, a coalition of companies seeking to place one million US military members and veterans into rewarding careers.

Military Times SVP of Media Solutions Mort Greenberg commented: “Military Times continues to set the standard for employer rankings for transitioning service members and veterans.

“We stand by the rigor and soundness of this survey, which spotlights companies' employment programs that help transitioning service members excel in their post-military careers."
