Acclaimed chef Dominique Ansel opens pastry shop at Caesars Palace
He will offer his signature dishes, including the ‘Cronut,’ at Dominique Ansel Las Vegas.
Dominique Ansel, an award-winning pastry chef, is set to open a pastry shop at Caesars Palace, which will be called ‘Dominique Ansel Las Vegas.’ Ansel is the creator of the iconic ‘Cronut,’ a mix between a croissant and a doughnut, as well as an assortment of other signature dishes. The culinary venue is set to open on October 21.
Ansel’s other signature dishes include his best-selling DKA (Dominique Kouign Amann), freshly baked French viennoiserie, and the new ‘Lucky 7’ collection, a set of unique pastries.
Caesars Entertainment Regional President Sean McBurney commented: “We are honored to have chef Dominique join our culinary empire with the upcoming opening of Dominique Ansel Las Vegas.
“In the same way Caesars Palace continues to set the standard on The Strip, chef Dominique Ansel delivers innovative creations with his unparalleled talents. We are excited to offer the opportunity for guests to enjoy his signature pastries.”
Ansel’s ‘Lucky 7’ dessert collection includes seven dishes: the Lucky Penny Big, the Ladybug, the Goldfish, the Four-Leaf Clover, the Fortune Cookie, the Feather and the Evil Eye Éclair.
There is great innovation in this platter of luxury desserts. For instance, the Lucky Penny Pig is a milk chocolate crémeux, with homemade raspberry jam and salted peanut feuilletine sandwiched between vanilla sablé cookies to create a pig shape, which is topped with a lucky gilded chocolate penny.
Dominique Ansel commented: “We’re thrilled to open our newest shop at Caesars Palace and be back out West. In addition to bringing some of our signatures from New York, I’m most excited to launch our newest creations for everyone.
