The survey was independent and based on a sample of around 70,000 Americans.

Mohegan has been recognized by Forbes in its Best-In-State Employers for 2022 list for the state of Connecticut. The list of candidates for this award was identified in an independent survey that utilized a sample of 70,000 Americans, who work for companies with 500+ employees.

Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment owns the Mohegan Sun Casino, a tribal venue located in the foothills of southeastern Connecticut. The casino is operated by the Mohegan tribe which owns 364,000 square feet of gambling space in the Constitution State and operates several casinos and resorts across North America.

The survey encompassed 25 industry sectors, with 1,280 employer brands ranked amongst the top employers – franchises are able to win in more than one state in which they operate. The evaluation was based on employees' willingness to recommend their employers to friends and families. Participants were also questioned about their perception of other comparable employers in the same field.

Mohegan President and CEO and President Ray Pineault commented: “We’re honored to see Mohegan named among the best employers in Connecticut. The workplace culture at Mohegan and implemented at all of our properties is guided by our core values and the ‘Spirit of Aquai’ which has created a strong and secure working environment for our team members that will continue for generations to come.

“The Spirit of Aquai is a centuries-old guiding philosophy infused throughout all levels of Mohegan operation. This allows employees to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for outstanding hospitality and guest experience – and we are thrilled to earn this recognition on such a prominent scale.”
