The magician and former NFL star will take the stage in October.

Jon Dorenbos, known for his magic act and as a former NFL player, will return to Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia to perform on October 1. The show will start at 8PM in the Event Center.

During his NFL career, Dorenbos played 14 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and made it to the Pro Bowl twice while he was on the team. His career in football ended after receiving a life-threatening heart disease diagnosis and a subsequent open-heart surgery.

In 2016, Dorenbos appeared on America’s Got Talent, where he performed a magic act while using sleight-of-hand techniques. He later progressed to the finals and walked away with a third-place title.

His showmanship and style are lighthearted and filled an inspirational tone. As a magician, Dorenbos “uses his skills as a magician and his incredible life story to inspire audiences around the world.”

Since finishing on America’s Got Talent as a finalist, he appeared several times on The Ellen Degeneres Show and performed his act live on the set.

He has also released his book, Life is Magic, which is meant to empower its readers to “to shut that self-doubting voice up by choosing happiness.”

Dorenbos expressed his excitement to return to Philadelphia and said it is one of his favorite cities.

He said: “I am thrilled to return to one of my favorite cities, Philadelphia. Philadelphians have always been the best, most loyal fans in football, in magic and on America’s Got Talent.

“Returning to the Stadium District, my second home for so many years, to perform at Live! Philadelphia is just perfection. You can’t beat the energy in Philadelphia on an Eagles home game weekend.”
