Jackpocket has signed a deal with the New York Mets that will make the company the team’s official digital lottery partner. The third-party lottery app will have access to cross-promotional opportunities via the Mets’ social media platforms.
Under the terms of the agreement, Jackpocket will have exclusive rights to the Mets’ official logos, and both online and offline marketing. Jackpocket will promote and give away sweepstake prizes, as well as free tickets through the Mets’ social channels.
Teaming up with Major League Baseball outfits (MLB) is nothing new for Jackpocket. The company’s collaboration with The Mets is the fourth MLB team partnership and eighth major league sports agreement to date. Jackpocket also has deals in place with the Minnesota Twins, Texas Rangers and the Colorado Rockies.
Other partnerships include agreements with college sports teams, the NFL, NBA and the NHL.
Jackpocket CEO Peter Sullivan expressed his enthusiasm to team up with the Mets.
He commented: "Partnering with the Mets has been a dream of mine, especially as a baseball fan. New Yorkers love the lottery and Jackpocket is always looking for ways to meet players where they are.
“With this latest professional sports partnership, we expand on the unique experiences created for our sports fan base and provide Mets fans with a new way to play and win."
Jackpocket players will have access to a code during checkout that will give them a free lottery ticket. They will also have opportunities to win other various prizes, including trips to on-the-road games that come with roundtrip air travel, hotel accommodations, and two tickets to the game.
New York Mets Vice President of Partnerships Brian Fling said: "As we look more and more to digital-first solutions and moments to engage with our fanbase, the New York Mets are proud to partner with Jackpocket, an institution that's trailblazing the digital lottery space.
"This partnership cements our dedication to exploring new ways for fans to get excited on game day and beyond."
Jackpocket recently launched its lottery app in New Jersey, joining nine other states that already have the feature. The app is currently available in Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Texas and Washington DC.
