Digital sports media company Playmaker has signed a purchase agreement World Soccer Talk’s digital assets. The company has acquired all of World Soccer Talk’s digital assets for aggregate consideration of no more than $1.15m.
Playmaker will utilize World Soccer Talk’s resources to expand within the Latin American sports market, as well as establish a significant footprint within North America. The company will implement World Soccer Talk’s product design, technical solutions, and editorial and operational support to facilitate further growth.
World Soccer Talk operates under Double Decker Group, LLC and is a soccer-focused media business based in the US. It provides its consumers with breaking news, soccer-related broadcast and streaming information related to global events, leagues and clubs.

In Latin America, Playmaker recently signed a deal to purchase Futmarketing, a digital media company in Brazil that focuses on providing editorial content to soccer platforms.
Playmaker properties has gained more than 106 million followers on social media through various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Twitch, according to its latest progress report.
