The campaign aims to bring WSOP to a wider audience.

World Series of Poker (WSOP) has launched a new campaign initiative this week that is designed to reach potential tournament players through various social media platforms. WSOP will give 14 social media influencers an opportunity to compete and earn the title of WSOP Legend.

The campaign will run nationwide for eight months, with the first phase starting this week. Once selected, 14 social media influencers will be divided into five teams. They will also be paired with WSOP mentors who will help them develop their poker-playing skills. The teams will compete in December at an undisclosed US location.

WSOP will reveal the names those selected this week via Instagram. Those joining the competition will be selected from a wide range of content realm backgrounds, including automotive, comedy, gaming, filmmaking, sports and fitness.

Poker fans will have access to live videos and opportunities to engage influencers and WSOP legends through the RoadToTheTable hashtag.

WSOP General Manager Guy Ceder said: "We are thrilled to be launching this unique eight-month long campaign with 14 popular influencers from a wide range of backgrounds. We really want to bring the love for poker and WSOP to a wider audience and show people just how much fun playing poker can be.

“We hope that our loyal WSOP players are excited for this new adventure and that they will pick up a few new poker skills and tricks from our soon-to-be poker legends.”

WSOP is the world’s longest-running poker tournament. The free-to-play poker game has been going on since 1970.
