The CEO said both bring unique skillsets that are essential to the company business model.

Playmaker Capital has appointed Sara Slane and Mark Harrison to its Board of Directors. The company believes the additions of Slane and Harrison will propel it forward, due to the years of gaming industry experience both bring to the table.

Slane played a key role in advocating the reversal of Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) in 2018 and has vast knowledge of the North American gaming industry. She once served at the American Gaming Association as its Senior Vice President of Public Affairs.

Harrison brings 30 years of Canadian marketing industry and sponsorship experience to his role on the board. He founded the Black Talent Initiative in 2020 and is a long-time advocate for equity and inclusion. Harrison also founded Mh3 Collective, which is an organization that is dedicated to promoting social and racial equity, as well as empowering people by removing barriers to education.

Playmaker CEO Jordan Gnat said: “Being able to add two people of the caliber of Sara and Mark is a big step forward for Playmaker. I have known Sara for many years and have witnessed how effective she has been in providing guidance and leadership to the gaming and sports industries. Mark’s reputation is second to none.

“We have been looking to add a senior executive in the marketing and partnership industry to our board, and Mark fits that perfectly. Sara and Mark have distinct experiences that are relevant to our core business model, and they will both serve as incredibly important and complimentary additions to the current composition of our Board.”
