The new platform will focus on insight, betting tips, and content creation along with the SBK Betting Podcast.

Launched on March 11, 2022, the SBK Betting Zone was revealed by Smarkets, the creator of the SBK sportsbook.

This launch followed the release of Smarkets News, which provides insight from the Smarkets betting exchange. The Betting Zone has already revealed its first bit of content centered around the upcoming Cheltenham Festival. However, it has a section dedicated to US sports as well.

Adam Baylis, a spokesperson for Smarkets said: “We're really excited to further scale up our content offering with the launch of the SBK Betting Zone. This gives us another platform to provide our users with the latest tips and insight, which they can combine with our market-leading odds.”

The Betting Zone will also host the SBK Betting Podcast, hosted by Racing TV's Jess Stafford. This podcast will provide horse racing tips and insight from Ross Millar and James Millman, as well as SBK’s Tom Collins, who recently joined the company.

In regards to podcasts and content, Baylis went on to say, “You can expect to see exclusive content from our brand ambassadors as well as a wider offering of podcast and video content in the coming months."

Smarkets oversees two main products, the Smarkets exchange, and SBK, a sportsbook app that is now the home of the SBK Betting Zone.

Originally founded in 2008, Smarkets is a sports betting company, headquartered in London. Although London is the base of operations, the company has offices in Los Angeles and Malta as well.
