The globe-straddling brand starts offering sports betting in the Argentine capital.

Buenos Aires, fresh off the heels of legalization, has welcomed the arrival of bet365 to the market. This is the latest step in the online sports betting brand’s expansion into Latin America. Marking its entrance was the launch of a website which will be active in the municipalities Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires as well as Provincia de Buenos Aires.

As a promotional tool for the newly-live site, new customers in the region will be able to access the so-called Sports Open Account Offer in which qualifying deposits will be matched if they do not exceed $7,500.

A note of satisfaction was spoken by a company spokesperson who made the following comments: “We are delighted to announce the launch of a dedicated website for customers residing in Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires and Provincia de Buenos Aires. In a region with such intense passion for sports, we are excited to provide an unrivalled sports betting experience, with a key focus on both localized and international markets.”

The company first made a name for itself when it helped introduce in-play betting to the public. Since that time, bet365 has managed to accumulate 63 million customers across the world. As part of its offerings, it also streams over 600,000 live sporting events a year and – indicative of its global reach – provides services in 21 different languages.

Indeed, this is not bet365’s first excursion into Latin America. Already it can count Mexico’s Ganador Azteca as a partner.
