This follows a series of other sold-out competitions.

Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady has announced a mixed-martial arts (MMA) event that will take place in March. The setting, in one of upstate New York's premier casinos, will allow spectators to bet on the action.

The event, known as Cage Wars 51, follows a series of prior sold-out competitions. It is sponsored by Sticker Mule and will feature both local and regional amateur MMA fighters squaring off in the octagon to determine the champion. Fans will be able to look forward to exciting and intense MMA matchups.

MMA and betting have become increasingly integrated. Just last week, an official partnership was announced between Armadillo Studios and the global MMA star, Amanda Nunes, which will see slot games featuring her visage.

Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is owned and operated by Rush Street Gaming and its affiliates. It features 1,150 slots, 67 live table games and a 16-table poker room and a live, in-casino luxury sportsbook lounge.

The casino offers five distinctive restaurants, including Dukes Chophouse, Flipt, Johnny’s To-Go and Mian. Rivers also features a multipurpose Event Center space, an entertainment lounge called Van Slyck’s. The lounge hosts live music performances. The casino also offers free parking, along with daily promotions and giveaways.

Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady first opened in 2017 and now employs more than 1,200 members.

The event will take place on March 11, 2022. Doors open at 5pm, and the fight will start at 6pm. Tickets are available through the Cage Wars website.
