Tucson’s first retail sportsbook opens at Casino Del Sol

Tucson resident have seen the region’s first retail sportsbook open to the public this week. Located at Casino Del Sol, SolSports officially launched on Thursday, November 18 2021, thus, giving guests the opportunity to bet on a variety of professional and collegiate sports.
“Our ability to offer sports wagering to our guests has been many years in the making, and we are elated to see our vision come to fruition with SolSports,” noted the Chairman of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, Peter Yucupicio.
“This new gaming option will have a positive economic impact on our tribe and the state of Arizona.”
Coming just over two months after the opening of sports betting across Arizona SolSports is located in the property’s Paradiso Lounge. Featuring a 4,000-square-foot venue, the sportsbook includes more than 60 televisions.
Per the opening, more than 100 guests at a time can place bets at any of the property’s live ticket counters or self-service kiosks.
“Our team developed a truly fantastic environment for sports fans to enjoy all of the game day action, and we are thrilled to welcome Tucsonans to experience the excitement of in-person sports betting at SolSports,” conclude Casino Del Sol CEO, Kimberly Van Amburg.
SolSports will be operated in full by Casino Del Sol; however, the technology powering the platform is Scientific Game’s OpenSports platform.
Sports betting first launched for the Grand Canyon State in early September, since then a number of the country’s highest-profile operators have released their offerings, including DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars Entertainment and Rush Street Interactive.
