The sports betting operator’s office will be located at the UnCommons community space.

The sports betting and daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings has today announced its plans to develop a Las Vegas office at the UnCommons communal space. This new building, which is set to cost over $400m to develop, will employ over 1,000 people and be 90,000-square-foot.

“Our new office space and Las Vegas expansion further exemplifies DraftKings’ investment in its employees and the future of the company, as well as the local community,” said Matt Kalish, DraftKings co-founder and president, North America.

“Our goal is to create another world-class workplace environment that will foster DraftKings’ innovation, further bolster our local presence, and deepen community involvement. With these lofty aspirations, we were thrilled to discover that UnCommons mirrors these high standards.”

Closely modelled on its Boston headquarters, this new technology hub comes with a DraftKings branded floor plan and collaborative workspace, as well as a number of entertainment offerings.

The building, designed by IA Interior Architects, will feature 130 sports trading desks, a 7,500-square-foot cafeteria and event space, a custom casino training pit, a space to play golf, and a mothers’ room. Employees will also be able to receive onsite haircuts, manicures and pedicures.

“We are thrilled to deliver the calibre of modern workplace and innovation that DraftKings is looking for in its second-largest office in the United States,” said Matter Real Estate Group partner Jim Stuart. “We look forward to providing an idyllic setting to foster meaningful relationships, increase performance and spark new ideas.”

DraftKings opened its first Las Vegas office in January 2020. Since then, the company has gone on to further expand its Las Vegas presence, signing a multi-year agreement to sponsor the UNLV’s center for gaming innovation and opening an innovation studio at the University.
