Combined solutions will yield cashless play at slot machines.

Scientific Games Corporation on Tuesday said it has entered into a partnership with Marker Trax, a cashless alternative to issuing casino markers.

SG is a provider of games, systems and services for casino, lottery, social gaming, online gaming and sports betting.

The two parties said their partnership will advance the gaming industry’s shift to cashless solutions.

Through online and mobile app enrollment, players can apply for a Marker Trax account and be fully underwritten and approved for an instant revolving advance line of casino credit in less than 5 minutes, the company said.

Enrollment in Marker Trax is free and requires the player to be a member of the operator’s loyalty program. Once enrolled players have access to their cashless advance right at their favorite machine. Players will have full access to their account information on the mobile app and website, giving them the ability to make payments, check their account balances and a variety of other user-friendly transactions.

Marker Trax said its solution provides operators with a robust dashboard that gives onscreen access to information such as player activity, reports, data analysis and other functionality to harness its performance. The company added the data retrieved will allow operators to take action to continue to engage and retain players and leverage the benefits of Marker Trax to impact their database and slot performance.

According to Marker Trax, an interface with Scientific Games’ slot management system and Unified Wallet cashless solution will allow for approved funds to be immediately available to players electronically at their machine.

Scientific Games said its technology accounts for players’ cashless advances and balances, augmenting both the player’s experience and the operator’s efficiency.

“We have followed the evolution of Marker Trax and we see low-friction, player credit offerings as a compelling addition to our Unified Wallet cashless solution,” Rob Bone, senior vice president of global systems and tables at Scientific Games, said in a statement. “This partnership enhances the player’s gaming experience, and we look forward to collaborating with the Marker Trax team to offer the most complete cashless technology.”

Charlie Skinner, Marker Trax chief operating officer, added, “We are excited to be working with the great group of industry leaders at Scientific Games as we expand the reach of Marker Trax.”

Gary Ellis, founder and CEO of Marker Trax said, “We are focused on player convenience and operator efficiency and our collaboration with Scientific Games strengthens our commitment to the industry.”
