FanDuel Casino expands in New Jersey, Michigan

FanDuel Casino has launched as a standalone app in New Jersey and has added live dealer games in Michigan.

FanDuel Casino was initially launched in New Jersey within the operator’s sportsbook app. The casino app will feature casino games like blackjack, roulette, video poker and slots.

The launch of an official casino app in the Garden State comes via a partnership between FanDuel parent company Flutter and Golden Nugget Atlantic City, which allows Flutter to offer one casino gaming under its Betfair brand.

FanDuel Casino had previous launches in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

FanDuel’s decision to commit full throttle to the New Jersey iGaming market is a no-brainer, as the state consistently tops $100m in online revenue.

“FanDuel Casino will still be available within the FanDuel Sportsbook app, and new casino players can either signup for a Casino account or use their existing FanDuel Fantasy or Sportsbook account to log in and play,” the company said.

In Michigan, FanDuel is adding live dealer blackjack, roulette and baccarat games. The launch of live dealer games follows the Michigan Gaming Control Board’s authorization of Evolution Gaming to provider live dealer services to 10 operators.

BetMGM Casino, DraftKings Casino and Golden Nugget Online Casino are among the other Michigan operators who will be able to offer live dealer play.

Michigan reported June iGaming gross receipts of $89.2m, down from $94.9m in May. Michigan launched iGaming on January 22, 2021. In less than six months the state has produced $483m in gross receipts.
