Resorts World Las Vegas on Monday said it has inked a partnership with Grubhub, an online and mobile food-ordering and delivery platform.
The two parties said resort guests will be able to order food, drinks and retail through a service named, “On The Fly at Resorts World powered by Grubhub.”
Users can order from the resort’s 40 food and beverage concepts and select retail shops and charge the cost to their room or credit card via the Grubhub app. The items then can be picked up or delivered either to a guest room or the resort’s 5.5-acre pool complex.
Guests may place orders on their phone with the Grubhub app or by scanning Grubhub QR codes located throughout the property. For deliveries to the pool deck, guests will be able to pick up their order from a secure, QR code-activated restaurant locker, which features touchless opening.
This marks the first time Grubhub has partnered with a hotel casino.
Resorts World Las Vegas said the partnershp with Grubhub will take the place of traditional in-room dining, redeveloping the way guests experience its culinary and retail attractions.
“Our partnership with Grubhub further expands our goal of providing guests with first-of-its-kind experiences at the resort,” Scott Sibella, president of Resorts World Las Vegas, said in a statement. “Resorts World Las Vegas is proud to be the first resort to integrate this technology and offer our guests a convenient mobile-ordering solution for a variety of food, beverage and retail items across the property.”
Brian Madigan, VP of campus and corporate partners at Grubhub, said the company is excited to bring its integrated tech solution to Resort World Las Vegas and its guests.
“Our goal has always been to make ordering food as easy and convenient as possible for hungry diners, and this mobile ordering experience at Resorts World Las Vegas is our latest proof point of that – effectively enabling diners to order from their favorite resort eateries from the tips of their fingers,” Madigan said.
Resorts World Las Vegas is being developed by Genting Berhad, a publicly traded Malaysian corporation registered with the Nevada Gaming Commission.
Grubhub is part of Just Eat Takeaway.com, a global online food delivery marketplace. Grubhub features more than 300,000 restaurants and partners with more than 280,000 of these restaurants in some 4,000 US cities.
