Golden Nugget expands partnership with Paysafe

The agreement allows Golden Nugget to reinforce itself in the Michigan market.

Golden Nugget (GNOG) has announced an expanded partnership with Paysafe, the specialized payments platform.

Golden Nugget’s online casino for the gaming market in Michigan will now be supported by Paysafe, while also connecting it to the automated clearing house (ACH) technology of Global Payment Gaming Solutions.

Paysafe will power GNOG’s payment offering, and players in Michigan will now be able to make deposits quickly and securely via credit or debit cards.

Meanwhile, the ACH technology will allow players to fund their wagers electronically and get real-time access to their winnings.

This deal builds on the long relationship between the two companies as they have been partners in the New Jersey igaming market since it went live in 2013.

“Like every US igaming operator, getting payments right has always been an important focus for us,” said Thomas Winter, president at Golden Nugget Online Gaming. “Our partnership with Paysafe in New Jersey has helped us streamline and improve payments for us and our customers, and so when we chose to enter the bigger market of Michigan, extending the partnership was an easy choice that made sound business sense.”

Gregory Kirstein, vice president of business development, igaming at Paysafe added: “We’re delighted to grow our partnership with Golden Nugget into Michigan, and we’re pleased that they recognize our value in supporting customer acquisition, retention and overall revenue growth in the states where they are now operating. We look forward to continuing our dedicated support in Michigan in collaboration with Global Payments.”

The partnership in the Michigan market is only the start, as more launches are expected later in 2021, including West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
