MGM bringing back parking fees at Strip properties

MGM Resorts is reinstating parking fees at Las Vegas Strip properties beginning June 1.
The operator had eliminated paid self-parking on the Strip during the Covid-19 pandemic.
MGM’s top tier hotels – Bellagio, Aria and Vdarra – will offer free parking for the first hour, $15 for up to four hours and $18 for each 24-hour period.
The Mirage, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, New York-New York, Excalibur and Park MGM will allow free parking for the first hour, $12 for up to four hours and $15 for each 24-hour period.
Locals will receive three hours of free parking. Military and former military members and their spouses will receive free parking if they are members of the M Life Rewards program.
MGM ended free parking in early 2016, setting a trend that rival operators soon followed.
Caesars Resorts suspended self-parking fees upon reopening casinos last June but has since reinstated paid parking. Nevada residents, however, will continue to be afforded free self-parking, as well as hotel guests and select Caesars Rewards members.
MGM’s timing of returning paid parking coincides with the return of fans to Vegas Golden Knights games. The Golden Knights, who play at T-Mobile Arena, can host 50% capacity, or around 9,200 fans, for their remaining regular season games.
T-Mobile Arena capacity is expected to increase in June, when the Golden Knights hope to be competing for a Stanley Cup championship.
