Pennsylvania sportsbooks took in $509.5m of wagers in February for a year-on-year increase of 55%.

Sports betting handle was off from the record $615.3m wagered in January. Revenue was $16.4m, a 247% increase from February 2020.

Online wagers accounted for 92%, or $469.7m, of the month’s sports betting handle. The FanDuel Sportsbook at Valley Forge casino led the way with online wagers of $176.3m, which generated $7.3m of revenue.

DraftKings Sportsbook at The Meadows saw handle of $111.7m and produced win of $3.1m. Penn National’s Barstool Sportsbook at Hollywood Casino placed third in handle with $65.6m but any revenue was offset by heavy promotions, leading to revenue loss of $726,000.

Rivers Casino led all retail sportsbooks with revenue of $542,000, generating more than 18% of the state’s $3m retail sports betting win.

Total gaming revenue for the month was $302m, down less than 1% y-o-y.

Slots revenue was down 27% y-o-y to $145.9m, while table games brought in $57.4m for a decrease of 26%.

Online casinos and poker saw revenue of $77.8m, highlighted by a mammoth showing from iGaming slots, which took in $50.6m for a 425% y-o-y increase. Online poker was up 38% to $2.5m.

Though February iGaming revenue was slightly down from January’s haul of $80.4m, per-day figures rose from $2.6m to $2.8m.
