BetMGM expands Toronto presence with new office opening

BetMGM has expanded its operational footprint in Canada by opening a newly enlarged office in Toronto, marking the latest step in its long-term commitment to the country’s regulated gaming market.
The company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week to formally open the updated facility, which accommodates the continued growth of its Ontario-based teams.
The operator described Ontario as one of its most important North American markets, with the expanded office intended to support future hires and provide a larger base for operational functions tied to compliance, product development and customer engagement.
Ontario’s regulated online gambling framework, launched in 2022, continues to attract major operators seeking stable licensing conditions and strong market uptake.
In a statement shared on LinkedIn, BetMGM said the Toronto expansion also helps establish foundations for future growth in Alberta, where the company is monitoring the province’s evolving approach to commercial online betting.
Discussions around potential market liberalisation in Alberta have progressed over the past year, with stakeholders awaiting clarity on licensing pathways.
BetMGM’s statement read: “We’re proud to support the continued growth of our Toronto team, and excited to set the foundation for future growth into Alberta on the horizon.”
The company also thanked its employees in the region, adding that their work “cultivates legendary moments, both in and out of the office.”
The Toronto expansion underscores the increased investment operators continue to make in regulated Canadian markets, which have seen rapid product development and heightened competition since provincial frameworks began opening. Ontario remains the central hub for many of these operations, with teams often serving wider North American functions.
Earlier this week, BetMGM announced a new sports betting contest tied to the Players Era men’s and women’s college basketball tournaments. The promotion includes a leaderboard that tracks qualifying wagers, with the top 25 users set to receive travel packages and tournament tickets for events held in Las Vegas.
