Koin appoints Sean Bowles as Head of Global Product

The cashless payments company has recruited Bowles from his senior product role at Apply Digital.

Sean Bowles is joining the team at Koin to serve as the cashless payments company’s Head of Global Product.
The new recruit has nearly 20 years of experience in similar roles and comes straight from a post as Director of Product Management at Apply Digital, where he also managed The Lab, a research and development team exploring new opportunities with emerging technologies like AI and VR.
While in this role, he helped to pioneer AI tools that were used for the NBA, Kraft Heinz, Arc’teryx and DC Comics.
At Koin, Bowles will be tasked with shaping product strategy and powering growth through engagement with data and customer feedback.
Koin President Gary Larkin said, “Sean joins us at a pivotal time, bringing a passion for customer-first innovation and a commitment to building high-performing, data-driven products.”
The company designs and implements integrated payment solutions for integrated casinos and resorts in order to improve player experience.

Koin CEO, Gary Ellis, spoke to Gaming America last year in the run up to G2E in Las Vegas – at the time, Koin was focused on exhibiting its functionality for omnichannel and cross-jurisdictional gaming.
Ellis said of the company’s objectives at the time, “Combining resort-wide retail and game funding with seamless open network payment versatility, Koin is making payment an integrated part of the patrons’ entertainment experience.”
Koin will again be exhibiting at G2E this October.
