Deployment planned for Q2 in iconic Las Vegas Strip casino.

International Game Technology PLC on Tuesday said it will replace a competitor's system with its IGT Advantage Casino Management System at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Circus Circus opened in 1968 and is one of the few casinos from its era still operating.

IGT said the CMS it is bringing to the iconic property draws upon the experience of nearly three decades of performance in the field and will help improve operational efficiency.

The Circus Circus deployment is planned for Q2 of this year. IGT said it will connect all 1,100 machines, plus table games, and will integrate with the property's food and beverage, retail point-of-sale, and hotel management systems.

According to IGT, the CMS will include Patron Management, a tool for building customized events and promotions; Machine Accounting, which it said streamlines and simplifies reporting; the EZPay ticketing solution; and Cage and Table Accounting.

The deployment also will include IGT's NexGen player tracking hardware, offering players a means to view account information, messaging, awards and bonuses.

“Circus Circus has continuously focused on delivering entertaining experiences for our guests, and our conversion to the IGT Advantage CMS will modernize our gaming floor, significantly streamlining our operations and helping to enhance patron loyalty and the overall player experience,” Stephan Angeles, Circus Circus VP of finance, said in a statement.

“By converting to the IGT Advantage system, Circus Circus is enhancing its efficiency and performance, while also ensuring long-term capacity for future growth as gaming technology and player preferences continue to evolve,” added Ryan Reddy, IGT SVP of global product management for VLT, systems and payments.
