Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will open March 25, putting an end to the long-awaited renovation of the former Hard Rock property.

JC Hospitality president and CEO Richard Bosworth, who announced the casino-resort’s reopening date, said, “It has been a journey, but to finally reach this milestone and confidently announce our opening date would not be possible without our incredible partners and construction team. Today, we are not only celebrating the fact that we finally get to welcome back guests to the most exciting resort to open in Las Vegas in years, but we also get to bring our team members back to work.”

The off-strip property is located on Paradise Road. It used to serve as home to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas until Feb. 2020, when the resort closed its doors.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will include three hotel towers with more than 1,500 rooms, a five-acre pool complex, over 101,000 sq. ft. in event space and a 60,000 sq. ft. casino floor operated by Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment. The hotel is part of the Hilton Curio Collection.

The casino-resort was originally supposed to open last fall. The reopening date was later postponed for Jan. 15, but that date too got pushed back due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
