The Kansas Lottery has released its casino revenue results for the month of February.
The state reported $32.6m in revenue from its four land-based casinos last month. February’s total reflected a nearly 5% increase in revenue year-over-year.
Hollywood Casino once again took the lead last month as the facility with the highest revenue total. The destination reported nearly $13.2m in revenue during the month of February.
However, its revenue total fell by nearly 1.4% when compared to last year’s results.
Kansas Star Casino followed closely behind last month with $12.4m in total February revenue. The casino reported a more than 10% dip in its revenue year-over-year.
Boot Hill Casino and Kansas Crossing Casino reported more than $3m in revenue last month, posting totals of $3.6m and $3.3m respectively.
The state also posted its year-to-date totals for the fiscal year. So far, Kansas casinos have generated $271m in total revenue, reflecting a 2.1% increase when compared to results posted a year ago.
Hollywood Casino has the highest year-to-date revenue, with its total reaching $109.7m, with Kansas Star Casino as the runner up bringing in $104.7m so far for the year.
Good to know: While land-based casinos are legal throughout the state, Kansas has yet to legalize iGaming
To date, online gaming is legal in some form in seven US states, although some of those have limited access, such as online poker only.
States with legal iGaming access include Pennsylvania, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Connecticut.
