Century Casinos in Caruthersville and Cape along with River City Casino were the only properties to see increases in AGR from the prior year period.

Key points:

- The MGC reported a total AGR of $149.3m during February 2025, primarily driven by Ameristar St. Charles, having generated $23.3m throughout the period

- The largest increase year-over-year was reported by Century Casino Caruthersville, which grew by 10% from the prior year period to account for $4.5m of AGR

The Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) has reported the state’s casino revenue throughout February 2025, with 13 gaming properties having generated $149.3m of adjusted gross revenue (AGR) for a decrease of 5% year-over-year.

The vast majority of Missouri casinos reported decreases in AGR from the prior year period, as only Century Casino Caruthersville, Century Casino Cape and River City Casino were able to see growth year-over-year.

Century Casino Caruthersville generated the highest increase of the three casinos with 10% growth from the prior year period for a total AGR of $4.5m, while Century Casino Cape and River City Casino increased by 2% and 6%, respectively, to account for $5.9m and $21.6m of AGR during February 2025.

Despite decreasing 6% year-over-year, slots represented nearly $127.1m of the state’s total AGR throughout the period, while table games increased by 4% from the prior year period to generate $22.2m of AGR. Ameristar St. Charles was the only property to report a table game revenue of greater than $4m, having generated $4.1m during February 2025 for a 1% decrease year-over-year.

Ameristar St. Charles also accounted for the most revenue of any property during the month, reporting $23.3m of AGR but decreasing 3% from the prior year period. Mark Twain Casino, which generated nearly $2.4m of AGR throughout February 2025, also witnessed the largest decrease year-over-year for any property, falling by 23% from the prior year period.

Good to know: Missouri Gaming Commissioner Jan Zimmerman recently stated the launch of a regulated sports betting market in Missouri may be delayed until the late summer of 2025

The only property to see an increase year-over-year in slot AGR was Century Casino Caruthersville, which grew by 10% to account for $4.2m of the total slot win during February 2025. Ameristar St. Charles reported a decrease in slot AGR of 3% from the prior year period, but still managed to generate the most revenue from slots of any casino in Missouri, producing $19.2m for February 2025.

Notable properties in terms of AGR throughout the period include Hollywood Casino St. Louis, which generated just over $19m of AGR for an 8% decrease year-over-year. Ameristar Kansas City, having seen its February 2025 AGR fall by 11% from the prior year period, still managed to account for nearly $15m of the state’s total AGR from casinos.

Harrah’s Kansas City managed to report nearly $13.1m of AGR during February 2025, but decreased by 4% year-over-year throughout the period.
