The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) along with Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin have released insights into wagering activity in the state for Sunday’s Super Bowl.
The 2025 Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas Chiefs was estimated by the American Gaming Association (AGA) to see $1.39bn in legal wagers by adults throughout America; a record total when only reflecting on the legal market.
In the Garden State, preliminary wagering statistics show that the total amount wagered on the Super Bowl reached approximately $168.7m, representing an increase of 19% when compared with 2024’s Super Bowl.

With this, projected total sports wagering payout was said to be $143.5m, meaning sports wagering operators saw a win of nearly $25.2m. For 2024, the wagering payout was projected to be $133.1m, while win for sportsbooks was nearly $8.5m.
This high payout aligns with data which has been reported by some of the big operators in the US, such as DraftKings, FanDuel and Fanatics, which reflected on Super Bowl wagering statistics throughout the country. Data underlined that the direction of the game meant there was a high payout for bettors, with the most popular bets for the game coming in.
