Omron and Zytronic partner to develop gaming button deck

Omron Electronic Components and Zytronic have partnered in the hopes of enhancing the casino gaming experience with the development of a new gaming button deck, which first debuted at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) event in Las Vegas.
“Zytronic has done an excellent job integrating their capabilities with OMRON’s STP technology, resulting in a partnership that adds value to customers,” Omron Business Development Manager Patrick Lahey said.
“Combining their award-winning capacitive touch technology with our STP enabled them to create an enhanced, visually appealing transparent button deck that hasn’t been seen before. I am excited to see the impact this solution will have on the marketplace.”
The collaboration will combine Omron’s electronic component technology with Zytronic’s touch sensor technology to create the gaming button deck which hopes to include a more engaging and responsive experience for players.

The gaming button deck utilizes Zytronic’s ZXY500 PCAP technology in order to manufacture custom firmware which provides flexibility and customization options for casino game manufacturers. The technology is then combined with Omron’s See Through Panel (STP) configuration to create “unique” innovations and holographic-style effects.
