AGA reports $6.65bn in November commercial gaming revenue

Key Points
- Gambling revenue nationwide reflected both monthly growth and year-over-year expansion
- Commercial gaming revenue during November was the highest reported since January 2023
The American Gaming Association (AGA) has published its monthly gambling revenue results for November from data collected through its Commercial Gaming Revenue Tracker.
Revenue during the month was $6.65bn, reflecting a 21.3% increase when compared to results from November 2023. The total in November included revenue from sports betting, iGaming and traditional casino games.
The organization reported that commercial gaming revenue during November reached a new all-time high and noted that this is the largest expansion since January 2023.
The AGA reported growth in year-to-date revenue as well, with the total reaching $65.83bn during 2024’s first 11 months.
Land-based gaming generated $4.24bn in revenue during November. This figure represents combined revenue from retail sports betting, casino slots and table games.
US iGaming “continued its strong growth in November,” the AGA said. Revenue grew by 38.5 percent year-over-year and reached $818.8m during November.
Revenue from online gaming grew 29% year-over-year and totaled $7.61bn during the first 11 months of 2024.
To date, online gaming is legal in some form in seven US states, although some of those have limited access, such as online poker only.
States with legal iGaming access include Pennsylvania, Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Connecticut.
Since the Supreme Court overturned PASPA nearly seven years ago, legal sports betting has rapidly spread throughout the country.
Along with the District of Columbia, sports wagering is legal in 38 states. However, the legal online gaming market has not experienced the same explosive expansion as sports betting.
