With the operator having now left Nevada, the only remaining state it is currently launched in across the US is Pennsylvania.

Key points:

- Betfred also closed its operations in Virginia during October 2024, less than two years after officially launching in the state

- Kresimir Spajic was named Betfred USA CEO in September 2023, having been tasked with leading the sportsbook went it was still live in 10 states

Betfred has closed its operations within the state of Nevada, officially leaving the sportsbook with one remaining state within the US where it is currently conducting business. In September of 2023, Betfred was live in 10 states across the US, but now residents in Pennsylvania are the only bettors able to access the offering.

The operator closed business in numerous US states throughout 2024, including leaving Virginia during October, where it had been launched for less than two years. Betfred announced its closure date in Arizona during September 2024, and left the state of Maryland in June.

Betfred USA named Kresimir Spajic CEO in September 2023, at which time the operator was live in 10 states across the US.

Good to know: Betfred USA partnered with USI to utilize measures that will help prevent coaches, student-athletes and staff from participating in prohibited sports betting during March 2024

At the time of his hiring, Spajic spoke of his excitement to step into the new position, having said, "I'm truly excited to embark on this journey as the CEO of Betfred USA. I am looking forward to working with our exceptional domestic and global talent and partners.

“Together, we aim to build a sustainable business in the US by delivering unparalleled value and support to our customers while upholding a strong commitment to responsible gaming."

With Pennsylvania now serving as the lone presence where Betfred is operational within the US, it remains to be seen if the operator chooses to expand operations in the Keystone State, or if it will choose to close business as it has done in the previous nine.
