Borgata Winter Poker Open to return with support from BetMGM Poker

This year's tournament holds five anchor events as well as new additions made for 2025.

Borgata Hotel & Casino, along with BetMGM Poker, have announced the return of the Borgata Winter Poker Open which will be held from January 2-17, 2025 and include a $5m guaranteed grand prize pool. 

This year’s series will feature 32 main events, 26 secondary events, five anchor events and new additions specifically made for 2025. 

There will also be 11 live stream events held, including the $100,000 BetMGM Online Hybrid Championship and the new BetMGM Big League Live Stream Event. Previous events such as the 10-10 PLO Live Stream and the Ladies Pink Chip Live Stream will also be included. 

The Mixed Event Mini-Series has expanded to 10 events, featuring the inventive B.E.A.S.T. Mix, which incorporates Triple Draw rounds with Stud. 

Players can also compete for the new BWPO Leaderboard, which guarantees $50,000 in prizes and rewards the top 10 players based on their buy-ins, field sizes and cashes.

Good to know: Gambling regulators in New Jersey found that Borgata underpaid some of its iGaming taxes by $1.1m in September 2024

Borgata’s five anchor events are the $600 Kick-Off, the $1,250 Mirror Mystery Bounty, the $400 Almighty Million, the headlining $3,500 Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship and the new $570 Monster Mirror Mystery Bounty.

The property will also offer the $10,000 High Roller Experience, a two-day tournament featuring exclusive perks for customers who select the package.
