The New Hampshire Lottery has published its October sports betting results. Last month, sports betting statewide brought in a $79.3m handle.
When compared to results posted during the same month last year, October’s handle rose by close to $2m.
Mobile sports betting accounted for $69.5m of the combined October total, while retailers brought in another $9.8m.
New Hampshire saw close to $5.8m in gross gaming revenue (GGR) during the month of October, falling by nearly $4m year-over-year.
Mobile sports wagering yielded a GGR of $5.4m last month. The state’s retail locations earned a GGR of more than $374,000.
Sports betting contributed almost $2.5m in taxes to the state last month.
New Hampshire’s sports betting handle has nearly reached $250m during the last four months.
During the current fiscal year, New Hampshire’s mobile sports betting operations have generated nearly $21m in GGR, while its retail sites have brought in more than $1m.

Since the US Supreme Court overturned the federal ban on sports betting six years ago, 38 states along with the District of Columbia have opened legal sports wagering markets.
Online gaming is currently legal in seven states, including Pennsylvania, Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Connecticut.
Traditional land-based casinos are currently illegal in New Hampshire. However, the state allows its venues to offer players table-based and machine-based games that are connected to local charities.
The current law on the books allows charities statewide to partner with charitable gaming operators, as long as they do not exceed 10 gaming dates per year.
