The New Hampshire Lottery has released its sports betting results for the month of September. Last month, sports betting statewide brought in a $72.8m handle. Last month’s handle rose by $13.6m when compared to results posted one year ago.
New Hampshire saw close to $9.3m in gross gaming revenue (GGR) during the month of September, up by more than nearly $3m year-over-year.
Sports betting contributed almost $4m in taxes to the state last month. New Hampshire’s sports betting handle has nearly reached $170.5m during the last three months.
Mobile sports betting contributed $64.3m to the state’s total September handle, while retail sports wagering locations brought in another more than $8.4m.
Last month, mobile sports wagering yielded a GGR of $9.2m. The state’s retail locations earned a GGR of more than $72,000.
During the current fiscal year, New Hampshire’s mobile sports betting operations have generated nearly $15.5m in GGR, while its retail sites have brought in more than $0.6m.

Traditional land-based casinos are currently illegal in New Hampshire. However, the state allows its venues to offer players table-based and machine-based games that are connected to local charities.
The current law on the books allows charities statewide to partner with charitable gaming operators, as long as they do not exceed 10 gaming dates per year.
Since the US Supreme Court overturned the federal ban on sports betting six years ago, 38 states along with the District of Columbia have opened legal sports wagering markets.
Online gaming is currently legal in seven states, including Pennsylvania, Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Connecticut.
