Louisiana casino November revenue down 26% y-o-y

Louisiana’s 13 riverboat casinos, four racinos and one land-based casino earned revenue of $152m for October, a decline of 26% year-on-year.
Louisiana casinos have been operating at 50% capacity to limit the spread of Covid-19.
Video poker revenue for November was $52.9m, a 2.9% y-o-y increase but lower than the $54.6m October figure.
Harrah’s New Orleans, the lone land-based casino, earned $14.7m, down 43.5% y-o-y but up 6% from October.
Riverboats generated $115m last month, down less than 1% from October but a 23.6% decline y-o-y.
The state’s top two riverboat casinos were Isle Lake Charles ($23.5m) and Golden Nugget Lake Charles ($22.5m). Isle improved 42.5% month-on-month but was down 8.6% y-o-y, while Golden Nugget grew 2.4% m-o-m but dropped 14.4% y-o-y.
Three other riverboats generated seven figures in revenue for November. They were Margaritaville ($13.8m) and Horsehoe ($12.1m) of Shreveport/Bossier L’Auberge Baton Rouge ($11m).
Sam’s Town in Shreveport saw the greatest y-o-y drop, 44.7%, earning just $3.4m. Belle of Baton Rouge, which was recently acquired by Casino Queen from Caesars Entertainment, posted the second worst y-o-y decline at 43.7% ($1.1m).
Of the four slots-only racinos, state leader Delta Downs was the only to improve m-o-m, earning $11.6m. That was still a 21.7% decline y-o-y.
