Bally’s Corporation is set to become the newest member of non-profit organization, the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA).
The operator will now assist the association’s development of preventative initiatives surrounding issues such as match-fixing and betting integrity.
Bally’s joins a pool of IBIA operator members which generate a combined $300bn+ in wagering turnover per annum.
The monitoring body will hope that this latest addition to its roster will help replicate the success of 2023, in which – among other achievements – the IBIA celebrated a 35% downturn in suspicious betting alerts. More recently, the organization called for more LatAm-based operators to join its network of members.
Commenting on the development, Khalid Ali, IBIA CEO, said, “I am delighted that Bally’s has decided to join the International Betting Integrity Association. Bally’s is a major US and growing international gambling company and is another great addition to our rapidly expanding international membership base.
“It will help us to further broaden the scope of our betting integrity monitoring network and we look forward to working closely with Bally’s to safeguard its customers and sportsbook from betting-related corruption.”
For Bally’s, this deal comes days after not only the approval of its Maryland mobile sports betting license, but also the announcement that its pending takeover by Standard General has been valued at $18.25 per share.
Robeson Reeves, Bally’s CEO, added, “We are thrilled to join the International Betting Integrity Association. This partnership aligns with our commitment to provide a safe and secure betting environment for our customers.
“As we continue to expand our footprint globally, we look forward to contributing to IBIA’s mission of upholding the integrity of sports betting worldwide.”
