CoinPoker Launches $50 Million Global Online Poker Championship Covering Three Continents
Crypto-focused poker site CoinPoker will run its largest online tournament series to date this summer with the launch of the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC). The operator will offer a $50 million guarantee across a schedule that it says will reach players in every major time zone.
CoinPoker will run the series from August 23 through September 28. According to the operator, the schedule will feature 700+ Medal Events, a $3 million guaranteed Main Event, and $350,000 in additional rewards offered through various promotions and leaderboards.
The scale of the GOPC will mark a notable milestone for CoinPoker. The operator says that by the conclusion of the championship, it will have paid out over $133 million in tournament prizes across its major 2026 series. This total includes earlier events like the World Poker Masters and the Battle of Malta Online.
A Schedule Built Around Three Time Zones
According to CoinPoker, the geographic reach stands out as the defining feature of the series. The GOPC includes three regional tournament schedules, and CoinPoker has anchored each one to prime-time hours in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. The operator says this arrangement will let players compete during convenient local hours instead of forcing them to adapt to a single fixed clock.
CoinPoker will also run core events across three buy-in tiers, a structure that the operator says will accommodate players at different bankroll levels.
A CoinPoker spokesperson said, “The Global Online Poker Championship was built to be our biggest tournament series, but also our most accessible to the world’s players.”
The launch has already drawn support from the site’s roster of sponsored players. CoinPoker ambassador Mario Mosböck predicted on social media that the series would provide “the hands down best Online Poker Series experience.”
Before the series begins, CoinPoker also intends to launch the 3-Bet Club on August 17. This premium membership will give subscribers access to exclusive features and benefits, including tournament discounts.
Three Main Events Covering Different Bankroll Levels
The $530 Main Event serves as the flagship event in the GOPC schedule and carries the series’ largest guaranteed prize pool at $3 million. Players will also compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals.
The $55 Global Main event occupies the middle tier and offers a $1 million guaranteed purse, a place in the Hall of Champions, and medals. At the entry level, the $11 Global Mini Main guarantees $250,000 and also awards medals.
CoinPoker has carried the medal theme throughout the entire series. The operator said it will host more than 700 medal events over the course of the championship. Every medal will also contribute points toward the GOPC Podium Race, which will distribute a $20,000 prize pool among the top five finishers.
Alongside these three main events, CoinPoker will bring back CoinMillions during the series. The operator will run the CoinMillion GOPC Edition as a two-day event starting September 6, with a $215 buy-in and a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
The $350,000 in Side Rewards to Incentivize Active Players
The GOPC includes $350,000 in additional rewards that CoinPoker says will benefit players regardless of where they finish. The $250,000 Comeback Lanes promotion accounts for the largest portion and rewards players who remain active even when they fail to cash.
Players will earn points for eligible non-cashing entries across the three buy-in tiers and receive tournament tickets when they reach milestone stages.
The Top 10 leaderboards, worth $80,000, will track each player’s best ten results across the series. CoinPoker will run separate leaderboards for each of the three tiers.
With its $50 million guarantee, three regional schedules, and buy-ins designed for different bankroll levels, the GOPC represents CoinPoker’s clearest attempt yet to establish itself as a major force in online tournament poker.
